I've never done this before. Blog, that is. My background is in journalism. I wrote for national newspapers here in Ireland, features mainly.

I also wrote some short stories, and was lucky enough to have them published. I even won a short story competition. It gave me a bit of confidence. And I wrote and completed my first novel. Which, as you know will be digitally published by Tirgearr Publishing this September.

I know a bit about that now. Just a little. I have yet to find out about blogging, or what it really means to a writer.

But a wise person once told me that a person should do something new every single day, no matter how small. So this is it for me today.

Introduction

I've started this blog to share some news. I have recently signed with Tirgearr Publishing for my first novel. Going Against Type will be digitally published this September 2014, and will be available on all e-readers.

Set against the backdrop of two Dublin newspapers, this romantic comedy is about two rival anonymous columnists who fall in love, without realizing that they are bitter enemies in print.
